Estonian Journal of Military Studies

The ENDC Proceedings is the only peer-reviewed journal on military issues published in Estonia that addresses a wider international research community. The ENDC Proceedings welcomes research papers in Estonian and in other languages in the priority fields of war science (e.g. national defence strategy, security and defence policy, resources management, tactics and operational analysis, military history, military leadership and command, military technology).

Since 2006 the journal has had an international editorial board and editorial council with representatives of the research community, servicemen and people otherwise related to the military in Estonia and elsewhere. The ENDC Proceedings encourages research dialogue and advances knowledge among academics and practitioners both within and outside the Estonian Defence Forces and its educational institutions – contributions that develop theoretical understanding and advance knowledge of all aspects of military affairs are welcomed from the wider research community in Estonia and abroad. As a publication on military issuses, the Proceedings is directed mostly at servicemen in active service and reservist, as well as people at large interested in war science and security policy isuses.

The publication covers all aspects of human activity related to national defence, military operations and military operations other than war in the modern challenging world. Therefore, the ENDC Proceedings can be called a flagship of research on a wide variety of national defence, security and military issues in Estonia, and thereby contributes to research, policies and practices in relevant subject areas in Estonia and elsewhere. As a scientific journal, the goal of the publication is to provide a wider international research forum and foster debate in national defence and security policies issues.
