Center for Applied Studies

The task of the Center is to direct the development of doctrine and defense planning methododolgy for the Estonian Defense Forces, as well as conduct of bi- and multilateral international development and consulting projects together with relevant organizations of NATO, the EU, and their memeber countries. The Center carries out research and development in the field of military doctrine and national defense planning. It also participates in international defense cooperation in line with foreign and defense policy of the Republic of Estonia.

In 2007, the ENDC published a monograph on national defense planning methodology developed in the Center for small states.

In 2008, the Center participated, together with experts from the US, Canada and the Netherlands, in 15 international development and consulting projects in the field of defense sector reform and national defense planning and management  Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine.
